By adding thwarts to your raft, more possibilities open up on your next paddle adventure. Thwarts provide more support for your paddlers to lock in and deliver stronger paddle strokes.
THWART STYLES
BUCKLE THWARTS
Buckle Thwarts have four straps on each side that secure to the 1" Accessory D-Rings that are included with the purchase of your raft.
The Classic ST and Liquid SL Rafts come with two buckle thwarts, and enough 1" accessory d-rings for the addition of a third thwart in 12' length or higher.

LACE-IN THWARTS
Lace-In Thwarts have three straps on each end that lace down to the floor webbing. These are a great option if you do not want to have fixed positions for your thwart placement.
Please notify us if you would like to switch from buckle thwarts to lace-in thwarts.

THWART PLACEMENT
NO THWARTS
If you know that you will not be using your thwarts, or the thwart d-rings, you can choose to not have thwarts included in your purchase for a discount.
TWO THWARTS
For ST & SL Rafts there are two buckle thwarts included in your purchase.
THREE THWARTS
For ST and SL Rafts 12' in length or longer there are two buckle thwarts, and enough d-rings for a third thwart included in your purchase. For an additional cost, you can choose to add a third thwart for leverage points when paddling.
MORE THWARTS
If your raft has enough room, you may have the option to add a forth or fifth thwart to your boat if you want to really bring the party with you!

Does my raft come with thwarts?
Yes, our rafts come with 2 buckle thwarts, and for 12’+ they come with d-rings so you can add a 3rd buckle thwart if you want.
I need to be able to adjust my thwarts freely - Do I have to have buckle thwarts, or can I have lace-in thwarts?
You can choose to have lace-in thwarts, no problem.
Do I have to have thwarts?
No, you do not. There are two options:
Remove the thwarts and keep the 1” thwart d-rings (accessory d-rings)
Remove both the thwarts and the thwart d-rings
