SOTAR SHIPPING INFORMATION
ONLINE ORDERS
Shipping can take up to two business days to process in our warehouse. Orders that are system flagged (SF) may need to have additional information verified and SOTAR is not responsible for this delay in processing the shipment. Once the payment is verified*, SOTAR packs, ships and emails the tracking information and estimated time of arrival so you, the Purchaser, can monitor the arrival of the shipment. Depending on the shipping address, products shipped within the United States generally arrive in 5 to 10 working days** from the shipment date, not the date of the online order.
CUSTOM BOAT ORDERS
When you purchase a custom raft, cataraft, inflatable kayak, or a river tube online or through our sales team, expect 6 to 12 weeks for completion*** as they are made to order. These custom inflatables, once shipped from our location, generally take 5 to 12 working days** to arrive at the destination.
IN STOCK BOAT OR RIVER TUBE ORDERS
When purchasing an in stock inflatable with additions, expect 6 to 12 weeks for additions to be completed***. Once final payment is verified the product is shipped from our location and generally take 5 to 10 working days** to arrive at the destination.
When purchasing an in-stock inflatable as is, shipping can take up to two business days to process in our warehouse and final payment must be received and verified** before the product is shipped. Shipping generally takes 5 to 10 working days** to arrive at the destination once it ships from our location.
COST OF SHIPPING
Shipping is not included in the cost of SOTAR custom boats or products. Purchasers are responsible for the cost of shipping. With each product order we include an estimated shipping fee in the estimate and invoice which is an estimate only, the final shipping cost will be calculated based on the shipping address and weight of the total package. Once the shipping cost is determined, a SOTAR representative will contact you for shipping approval and final payment*.
DETERMINING SHIPPING METHOD
Most packages are shipped UPS. Packages weighing over 150 lbs. require freight shipping and securing the package to a pallet. Shipping freight requires a Lift Gate, unless there is a Forklift, at the destination and additional room for off loading is necessary. Shipping freight adds an additional cost compared to normal UPS shipping rates. Once the Freight cost is determined, a SOTAR representative will contact you for shipping approval and final payment*.
IMPORTANT FREIGHT DELIVERY INFORMATION
After the first attempt to deliver freight shipments the shipment will only be held at the freight terminal for a maximum of 3 days. After 3 days, the shipment is shipped back to SOTAR and the Purchaser incurs the cost of the return shipment and the cost to reship the package*.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY
Ability to deliver in a timely manner is dependent on weather conditions and THE PURCHASER IS REQUIRED TO BE PRESENT and is responsible for being available to complete delivery.
SHIPPING TIME OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES
Shipping time outside the United States (Canada and Over Sea destinations) will be estimated upon packaging the product and placing the shipment order. Tracking information and estimated time for delivery will be communicated to the Purchaser via email or phone.
* SOTAR does not ship without verification of final payment.
**Business days do not include weekends or holidays. Orders placed on Friday after 12pm PST or over the weekend will begin processing on the following Monday. Ability to deliver is dependent on weather conditions and the purchaser is required to be available to complete delivery due to the product expense and shipment insurance.
***6 to 12 weeks for completion of custom inflatable or in stock inflatable that includes additions such as adding a frame, top or bottom chafing, handle d-rings, optional d-rings, accessory d-rings or foot cups is an estimate. An inflatable product may take less or more time to ship. Since we hand manufacture all of our inflatable boats and products in our warehouse, unforeseen problems may occur.
