Animas River was my first experience when I was 8 yrs old and paddling the Ocean in a canoe where I grew up in FL.

When I got out of the military I was looking for something to do other rushing into school. My older brother's girlfriend at the time was hanging with her friends. She was telling me she found a job that would train her to be river guide. She said I would be the perfect fit!

Two weeks later she came over again to hangout with my brothers girlfriend of the time and she was no longer going to do it, she changed her plans and encouraged me to call the company. It kinda slipped my mind and I said hell yeah that would be sick.

I called the company! They invited myself and my 2 Great friends over to train at PRO on the Pigeon River. My friends quit their jobs the next day and we left to Tennessee the day after!

To be honest, I have too many epic floats and swims! But a recent one to share was Swimming Rapid #9 on the Zambezi.

I took the raft solo down the drop it brought me to the Center of the biggest hit and flipped me in half a heart beat! I was under water for about 15 sec until I popped up and the Eddy line picked me up and threw me in the River right Eddy like superman on a surfboard.
